It’s all too easy to get caught up in routine and the demands of Earthly existence. Responsibilities and obligations pile up, and before we know it, life can begin to feel like a serious game.
But fear not! The flower pixies are bright sparks that arrive when we need them most. They helped me create this card spread to help inspire you and open your mind. Each card drawn is like a petal unfurling, revealing insights and guidance to break you free from the monotony.
What if I told you the the universe has a mischievous sense of humor, just waiting for you to join in on the fun?
Imagine if every laugh echoed through the cosmos, sending ripples of positive energy out to your environment, shaping your future, and touching the hearts of those around you.
Oh dear seeker, today I invite you to tap into the world of the pixies and rediscover the joy of living in the moment. Let their whimsical company be of a helpful friend that meets each twist of fate with a smile. Are you ready to lighten your heart with the fairies?
We are working with a 3 card spread. Of course, if you feel led to use more, go for it! I like to start with 3 and then if something needs clarifying, go in with another card, so as not to complicate the messages coming through.
Fairy Tip: Before pulling your cards, take a moment or two to ground, clear your mind, and welcome in the fairies. Set the intention that messages received are for your highest good. Always be kind to nature and your fellow human to maintain a positive relationship with the fairies.
Card 1: JOY. This card represents where you can look to see and find true joy that already exists or where joy has potential to exist in your life at this moment. Your pull might represent an overarching energy at play, a specific place or type of fairy, an activity, etc. Pay attention to the imagery on the card and the feelings you get when you draw it from the deck.
Card 2: MISCHIEF. This card represents an area of your life that could use some livening up. This can help you find new ways to cultivate playfulness and spontaneity in that area. This pull is more likely to represent a theme or area of focus in your life.
Card 3: MAGIC. This card represents potentials or opportunities that you have either been overlooking, or should be aware of in the coming weeks. Once you see it for yourself, you will feel that spark of excitement and wonder set in!

Collective Reading using the Playful Pixie spread!
Before pulling our cards here, I set the intention that there be messages within for anyone that comes across the reading at anytime. There is no expiration to this post. As always, take what resonates and leave the rest.
Of course, I had to use the Oracle of the Fairies deck by Karen Kay!
1. JOY: Where can you look to find it. Moon Energy
The appearance of the Moonbeam Fairy Queen indicates that you may find great joy in the night time hours. It feels like she is beckoning you into some excitement that you tend to miss out on. Once in a while, a late night can be good for the Soul! I can see your Spirit dancing under the moonlight, laughing and howling at the moon. Perhaps now is a good time to go to an evening event like a concert or party, leaving your daily worries and cares behind for the night. Or maybe have some serene fun under the full moon at the beach!
Moonbeam Fairy can show up when we have too many thoughts or are feeling confused. Within those thoughts and feelings are seeds for creating joy in your life. This moon fairy will often come through your throat chakra, enticing you to turn your thoughts into writing or song. Without censoring yourself, write down whatever comes to you. This can be beautifully therapeutic and can even embark you off on a new creative pursuit.
We are all effected by the moon, whether you realize it or not. Working in harmony with the moon enhances any efforts you're making to manifest or heal (or in this case, to cultivate play and fun). Below you will find further information about the phases of the moon and how to work with them...
New Moon: The moon is at its full darkness. This is a fertile time for planting seeds of a wish. If you're cultivating more love into your life, this is the energy to work with!
Try this: Write down your wish or what you intend on manifesting in your life. Plant this in the ground or in a container, with seeds above it. As your seedlings are nurtured into growth, so are your intentions.
Waxing Phases: The moons crescent appearance grows. As it does, so does your wish, strengthening your intentions. Continue to express your intentions in whatever way that resonates with you; speak affirmations, perform a spell or ritual, visualize, etc..
Full Moon: The moon is at it's maximum fullness and brightness, it's power at its height. This is the time when we see our manifestations come into fulfillment. The full moon is also best for releasing what no longer serves you for your highest good, such as limiting beliefs, unpleasant thoughts, or people that aren't right for your life.
Try this: write down what you intend to release, then burn the piece of paper, releasing the energies of what you're releasing from your aura, system, and life.
Waning Phases: The moon's crescent appearance shrinks, moving back to the New Moon phase. This is when we often find clarity through reflection. The waning moon allows us to integrate the wisdom and healing that's been received. This is a wonderful time for a deep cleanse of your space and cutting energy cords.
If you enjoy using crystals for support, you can place a clear quartz under the moonlight to soak up the energy of the Moonbeam Fairy Queen. You can also capture the energy of the Moonbeam Fairy or a specific moon phase by leaving out a jar of water overnight to soak up the beams. With the support of the Moon, may you call an abundance of joy in!
2. MISCHIEF: What area of your life could use more spontaneity and playfulness? Come Together
This card represents that you may be in need of some fun within your community, or that you may need to branch out and find a community where you feel you truly belong.
Perhaps you tend to work or go about life alone, whether out of preference or necessity. This can be important for certain types of work, but the fairies remind us that it is always better when we come together at times to share joy, ideas, and knowledge. For example, writers can find community in workshops and edit groups. Musicians can find community at open mics. Healers can find community in reiki shares or spiritual groups. The general community can find togetherness through charity work. No matter what it is you do, there is a group for you; and if not, there is a need for such group. It may be a time to form your own for those just like you seeking to come together. I can see you among a group, laughing and joking.
Perhaps you are already part of a group or community that has been in a bit of a slump. Maybe there are dissonant energies among you. What ways could you bring a brighter energy into this space, to uplift and create more moments of lightness and playfulness? You might feel called to implement little games throughout the day to break things up, or to bring in a fun food to share. If the environment allows, maybe you dress up in a way to cheer others up.
Remember that each person has their own unique set of skills, and combining them with the skills and talents of others forms an unstoppable team. The fairies find great joy working in groups, and would be so happy to show you the way! They teach us that working as a part of a team can make any task fun and help the time fly by. Teamwork can be very rewarding, helping each individual feel valued and uplifted. It can also be a bonding and supportive experience. It's a fact that a group of happy humans is more productive. Take the extra few minutes to joke and laugh! Play is just as important as work.
3. MAGIC: What hidden potentials/opportunities are waiting to be discovered? Abundance
What a beautiful card to receive as this final pull! This flower fairy wants you to know that there's enough abundance in the universe for everyone, and you have as much a right to it as anyone else. When you open your heart and are receptive to this flow, the energy enters your life and shines down on you. Know that you are deserving of playfulness and joy. Once you crack it open, there's much more where that came from!
This card is a call to prepare yourself for the arrival of these bright and jubilant frequencies. Please know and believe that you are truly worthy of abundance. It will be helpful to assess for any energetic blockages that might keep you from receiving, in the form of old stories you repeat to yourself, limiting beliefs, or relationships that bring you down. Self worth is key here. Talking to a trusted friend or counselor could also be helpful.
You haven't yet realized just how much goodness already surrounds you, waiting to be seen or experienced. Dear Soul, allow yourself to release the need to control how joy and play is going to arrive in your life. Open up and let it find you!
