Courtney is an energy medium, tarot reader, and reiki practitioner residing in Southern Maine.

Throughout childhood, Courtney always felt connected to something beyond the Earthly plane. She could see and associate colors with certain people or emotions. She had unexplainable encounters with spirits that left her with big questions for many years.

Most known for her aura paintings, Courtney invites those seeking insight, guidance, or a new perspective to her table. In your watercolor aura portrait, you will discover information about your Soul and what energies have come or gone. Aura paintings provide a colorful mirror to your energetic body while bridging you to other dimensions and realms of existence.

Courtney loves the connection, magic, and healing that being an intuitive reader can provide to clients. Her sessions have been described as clear, helpful, gentle, magical, and fun.

In 2014, Courtney learned about the aura and finally came to an understanding of her gift for aura reading. This assisted her through a dark night of the Soul, providing valuable information for her own healing journey. 

In 2020, Courtney was ready to begin sharing her gift with the world. She offered little aura paintings by mail to cheer people up, and started to sell postal readings through Etsy. They caught on quick, and thus began Auras by Deerborn!

Since then, she has become certified in multiple reiki modalities: Usui II, Antojai, and Holy Fire III. She incorporates reiki into her daily life, as well as into readings with clients.

In her work as an energy medium, Courtney has read and painted over 500 auras since 2020. You can find her at markets, fairs, and locally in Saco, or book her privately for your own aura painting party!

What is an Aura?

All living beings, even plants, have an aura. It appears as a luminous glow around the body, as if lit up from the back, often in a display of brightly lit colors. Some are misty or more dense, some very stagnant, or some full of movement and flow. 

The aura is our electronic signature, created by a combination of our physical, mental, emotional, and Soul energies.
