Hello friend, Courtney here! Welcome to my first Deerborn News blog post. Here I will be sharing personal updates, shop updates, and other business things. Thank you so much for checking it out! This month you’ll find in this blogpost: new digital aura portraits, seasonal oracle and tarot offerings, information about Antojai Reiki, and an update about my life.
New Digital Aura Portraits
In the past, I have drawn your aura colors onto your photo digitally with the pen tool. I’ve updated this product to give a more realistic rendition of how I perceive the energy around you! I really enjoy the beautiful magical glow this effect creates.
My aura readings tell you about your dominant aura color(s) and the energies moving through or around you. This information is a great check in with yourself and your Soul. It helps you see yourself from a different perspective, seeing what makes you unique and beautiful. It’s an energetic snapshot of what’s coming and going from your aura. These readings are also built to help provide support and guidance when needed. Plus, it can simply be fun to have your own energy portrait to keep & share!
It’s still best for your photo submission to have either a plain or simple background (blurred is great, too). Colors in your portrait may appear behind or in front of you, depending on their locations in your actual aura. Antojai Reiki Sessions
I love performing aura and tarot readings for people, but at times I was left wishing I could do more. I wanted to be able to provide a stronger support and to provide energy healings. Throughout 2022, I have been developing my energy work and in my journey discovered Antojai, or Quantum Reiki. Antojai was discovered and developed by Shaman Axél Carrasquillo. This modality moves out of the physical and into higher dimensions. It’s extremely powerful, and can even clear past life karma. It heals at a cellular level, getting to the root of your problem. I’m continuously blown away by this energy. Those that I have used Antojai on, have said it is unlike any reiki they’ve received before, and I’d have to agree! This form is great not only for your physical being, but your emotional and spiritual, as well.
Antojai has been a life changing experience for me. It was the next step I needed in growing my gifts, skills, and knowledge; as well as in my healing and shadow work. Since beginning my studies in this form of reiki, my energy feels reprogrammed, and it has enabled me to take better care of myself. There was so much I have processed in the last two years; Antojai gave to me the release and clean palette I’ve been looking for. I feel so much more connected to what’s good in the world. I’m so excited to share the healings and meditations I’ve come up with in practicing Antojai!

For the winter and holiday season, I have added new written readings to choose from! Many of these feature the oracle deck ‘Seasons of the Witch: Yule Oracle’.

What’s going on in Courtney’s life?
I’ve been continuing my forest walks through this winter season, which is something new for my this year! Usually I let the cold scare me away… I rediscovered the beauty of communing with nature in its ‘hibernation’ and ‘death’ cycle. After doing so much inner work the last two years, I’m now embodying these qualities myself; letting these old parts of me truly fall away and ‘die’. Antojai Reiki has been a great assistance in this process, and being out in the forest helps me to channel so much of that healing light that I need for myself and for my work. I highly recommend you bundle up good, and get out in the winter sun when you can!
In my off time, I’m devouring novels per usual. For spooky season, I read a few thrillers that I had to stay up late reading! One very chilling tale was ‘Little Darlings’ by Melanie Golding. It’s an unsettling story about a pair of twins with an old magical mystery involving changelings. A less scary story I enjoyed is titled ‘Fake Like Me’ by Barbara Bourland. This is about an artist finally breaking out into the scene; her works burn in a fire and she has only a few months to commit fraud and remake the works in time for showing and final sale of her works. And lastly, a love story based around astrology called, ‘Star-Crossed’ by Minnie Darke. I had high hopes for this one, so I was a bit let down by how little the author actually referred to astrology. Still a cute read, however.
We celebrate Christmas in my family, and the tradition with my partner is staying home together to decompress from the busy season. For years, I worked in the service industry in bakeries, so had been in high demand this time of year. The last few years have been a different pace, but my partner still has the busy holiday schedule, so we stick to the tradition! I’m so excited to bake cookies and make peanut butter balls, and to cozy in now that the weather is getting really cold. Baking is more of a zen thing for me again, which is amazing!
I’m winding down the year with my partner and kitties, enjoying a nice break together. I will be slowing the amount of tarot and aura readings I am able to take on from December 23rd-January 2nd. I will still be available, but less responsive as I let myself rest and enjoy the company of loved ones.
