Hi, I'm Courtney. I'm a professional aura painter, tarot reader, reiki practitioner and psychic medium based in Southern Maine.

    After an intense spiritual awakening, I realized that spirituality is an essential piece of life too often missing in this chaotic modern world. If you're feeling lost, uncertain, or disconnected from yourself, you're not alone. In 2020, I started Deerborn Intuitive to bridge the weird and woo with the everyday, normalizing the magic of your Soul. My work comes from a deeply compassionate and understanding place after having traversed the shadows of my own. I'm here to help guide you toward discovering your own personal believes and intuitive gifts, so you may live the life that makes you happiest. Deerborn Intuitive is a grounded, real world approach to self development, spiritual exploration, and lasting healing.

  • The Origins of Deerborn

    In 2014, I could not ignore my intuition any longer. Stifling myself only led to anxiety, depression, an eating disorder, and PTSD from abusive relationships. It was time to wake up. My Spirit Guides started sending me Deer, and I would see the animal everywhere. It becae deeply meaningful. As a Spirit Animal, Deer guided be to find my gentleness and inner peace through turmoil. My dreams were more ethereal than ever, taking me up into the cosmos and the astral plane. I started to remember the Soul gifts I had been in touch with as a child; my sensitivity to energy, and perceiving it as color. I felt reborn by the Deer.

  • The Development of Auras by Deerborn

    My aura paintings began as mini 3 inch acrylic paintings by mail through Etsy in 2020. Before this, I made the realization in 2014 that I was an energy reader. I can see the aura with both my mind's eye and my physical eye. I perceive the energy as psychic knowing or downloads of information. I can mirror the physical or emotional energies that I'm reading. In 2022, I branched out to share live aura painting sessions locally. As my gifts grew and expanded, I changed my aura paintings to a larger size, accommodating the full aura in the portrait. I also decided to switch mediums, from acrylic to watercolor, which allowed for Spiritual energies to create more intuitive shapes and flow within the artwork that hold meaning. Originally, my aura readings were personality readings with spirit messages. They have developed into multidimensional connection with Spirit, your higher self, the cosmos, and so much more.

My Story of Healing and Self Discovery

  • Up from the depths, like a Lotus

    I surrendered and re-entered the spiritual world in 2016, following one rude awakening after the next. I spent years in toxic jobs and abusive whirlwind romances, struggling with anorexia and chronic pain. I was outright ignoring my intuition.

    One day, I started to choose me, then I continued. By listening to myself, I was able to understand that I am neurodivergent and also have cPTSD. I always identified as an Empath, so this made sense to me.

    There were many times I didn't think I could make it through my shadows. I turned to spirituality and called out to my Soul for help. I began reaching out again to the spirit of my maternal grandmother, who passed when I was 9 years old, and she came to me. I started to remember my innate abilities to connect to something beyond this Earthly realm. I felt Source, that Divine energy, through nature and dreams. I found my personal power and a way forward.

    I'm here as proof that if you are unhappy with your life, you have to power to change it at any point in your journey. You, too, can do hard things, and even bloom
