Find the strength card in your deck, along with the card before it and the card after it.

1. Hidden Strengths: Death
There is a quote being used around social media right now that sums this card up well: “How did you survive?” “I didn’t, I became someone else.” Many people do not know how strong you’ve had to be, so many times, because you tend to keep these heavier chapters in your story private. You try not to complain about it, so from the outside, people don’t realize the battles you’ve seen and lost. There is a massive power of resiliency and determination with this card. You have the courage to confront the shadows, to acknowledge your pain, even at times embrace it. You behold the wisdom needed to release the past and not get too attached to the present. You stay marching toward the light, even when all seems futile.

I love analyzing how the cards are similar and different, to gain more intuitive insight. I noticed right away that there is a white horse on each card. Where the horse is more easily tamed by humans, the lion on Strength takes serious courage, patience, sharpness, wisdom, instinct, and maybe a healthy dose of are-you-out-of-your-mind?! It shows how truly skilled you are in balancing the duality between Death and the Sun. This is a constant act of rebirth. You stay humble and patient in this perpetual challenge. You’re doing great work! Notice how the figures are riding the horses on both Death and the Sun, but the woman on Strength does not ride the lion. We might consider what this says about power, self control, and honoring our sacred strengths.
