PILE A
An energy to embrace this season: Star
Embrace your sense of direction and inner knowing. During this time of year, you begin reflecting on the path you’re walking, and can decide to reroute if you don’t like where you’re heading. Listen to the emotions that surface, and what messages they bring to you. Your Soul knows what you need, it’s a matter of trusting this. Believe now in your ability to make good choices and to know what’s right. The Star card is like the Northern Star, representing your inner guide when you aren’t exactly sure which way you’re going in.
”Follow the stars for they know best, not too light, not too dark, a shimmer of what is coming next.”
An action to take: 9 of Pentacles
It’s time to acknowledge your successes and give yourself everything you’ve been wanting. This card is all about self care, luxury, and independence. Make time to take yourself on a date. Indulge in the finer things. Celebrate not only what went well this year, but also the difficulties and struggles you faced. These have allowed you the perspective to truly value your progress. Recall the wisdom gained and give thanks to yourself for getting you through the year!
PILE B
An energy to embrace this season: Yule Log
Embrace creation through destruction. Another cycle is complete. Endings offer a chance to let go, releasing whatever you wish to leave behind in 2022. Harness this energy for a fresh start. Try this ritual: Write down the things which you no longer want to or need to carry. Let your energy flow from the pen into the paper. When you’re ready, burn this to release the past (best done outdoors for safety). Once the flames are out, you’ve made room for the beauty to come. You can now set your intentions for the new year.
Traditionally, the Yule Log is burned to bring luck and fortune. The act is a form of creation; through this small act of destruction, we make room to rebuild in new ways.
“Insert me with a bleeding thought, a sacred creation birthed from thy. I Am God, I Am Goddess, I am creation and the creator.”
An action to take: Daughter of Pentacles
Remain dedicated to your overall goals– you’re on the right track to reaching them. This is the perfect time to get focused by breaking your goals into smaller tasks. Map out the steps you’ll take to reach them to lay down the foundations for your coming success. You have the inner strength and work ethic it takes to see them through! There’s also great potential for you to be taking a new class or classes, in order to get closer to where you want to be. Spirit invites you to expand on your knowledge.
PILE C
An energy to embrace this season: Contemplation
As the winter season takes hold, things naturally slow down, making plenty of time for thinking. Lean into this for some solid reflection. Review your progress and present position. What have you done well, and what would you do differently, if you could? Use your mental energy to see where you can make changes or create a plan of action, should things go awry next time. Mistakes, losses, and difficulties are how we learn and know when it’s time to change course. Take those lessons learned and release any sort of negative attachments to them, so you can bring this wisdom with you into the new year. Don’t forget to reflect on your successes, no matter how small!
“It breathes in the stillness of all that is, exhaling all that isn’t. Coming from the end of the starts, and the highest of lows. Here I gasp for the answers to unfold.”
An action to take: Strength & Judgement
Dig deep within and take hold of your emotions and feelings. For some of you, this may mean reigning it in and gaining a better sense of self control. Perhaps bad habits have made their way back into your routine, or you can’t stop dwelling on a negative experience from a long time ago. Self restraint can be an act of self love. Find the compassion in your heart for yourself and for others. Give forgiveness wherever it is needed. It no longer matters who did what wrong; it’s about the lessons you can take with you into the next year. Rise above it. You’re moving into your next level of transformation.
